This place is so good! I love the adobo grilled cheese, pork guisantes, Lechon kawali, adobo fried rice and sari sari! Honestly, I don't know how authentic it is because my exposure to Filipino cuisine isn't that great. However, I really think the flavor profile is balanced, not too sweet, not too salty, not greasy and easy to eat. Another plus is how clean the facility is, I usually inspect all plates, cups and utensils and everything is always very clean. They have a bathroom available to dining customers that is well kept. The service staff is always attentive, making sure our water is filled and our food comes very quickly. I also like how consistent the food is, I've been here about 5 times and it's tasted the same each time.

I first came here with my friends a few months ago and I have longed for the kare kare ever since! I had never tried the pink shrimp paste and it blew my mind. I am not a huge meat fan but my friends love the lechon. I mainly am all about the thick curry soup with eggplant, long beans, and a leafy vegetable of some kind. That mixed with the rice and shrimp paste is the stuff dreams are made of. I thought I might try something new today but I just couldn't get myself to go away from the kare kare. It was so piping hot when it came out that I almost burned my tongue on the curry since I just wanted to dive in! You get charged a fee if you use credit card so bring cash. Lots of free parking in the spacious parking lot of the shopping center. Can't wait to try more options (but in all honesty I probably will get this again)!!

Ordered take out: Lumpia, pork adobo fried rice omelette, and lechón sisig fries. We went back for the fries again a couple of days later. They were SUPER good. Nuff said.

Visited here in 2020 and was glad to finally be back and eat all my favorites! This is the Ube Pancakes and we also ordered the lechon kare kare and squid adobo. Everything was a fresh take on filipino food and so delicious! Glad we were able to come back 4 years later!

First visit was Tuesday, 12/26/2023 @ around 1PM. (First Time trying this place out) When I entered, there were 2 tables with families. The server/host was busy at the moment we walked in preparing a few things for the tables that were already sat. Once she finished helping them, she greeted us and asked how many people, I said 2, which was just my aunty and I. We were given menu(s) told her give us a moment as this was our first time here. About 5 minutes after, we told her that we were ready to order our food. I ended up ordering the entrees family style. Lechon Kawali: $17.75 This buggah was super ono, not to salty and perfectly crisp skin. They gave us a bottle of the vinegar which man I had to put a lot of it within the dish which gave it a lot of flavor IMO. Chicken Adobo: $16.25 Man oh man, when I took a bite of this super tender fall off the bone chicken adobo. It felt like I was eating at my best friends grandma's house. Cooked to perfection the salt to vinegar ratio was perfect to my liking. Fried Pork Lumpia: $9.50 Tasted perfectly amazing besides it being super hot cause it just came out of the fryer. My dumb self couldn't hold my composure and wanted to eat it right away, without thinking that it was freshly made to order. We subbed regular rice for garlic rice. Man did they hook us up with lots of garlic in the rice. 5/5 Service, Food and Ambiance I'd come back again and try other things off their menu. I usually go to Thelma's but I wanted to try a new place. Shay's did not disappoint me one bit. Mahalos to the staff whom was working that day.
